4th of July is all about BBQ's and good food so WBLS wants to challenge the Tri-State Area to an online 4th of July BBQ Cook Off. The winner of this challenge will win the title of The 2013 WBLS Pit Master.


If you think you have what it takes to win the title, we are asking you to submit your best 4th of July BBQ Recipes. The Tri-State Area will vote on the best recipe to be crowned the winner of the BBQ Pit Master Challenge.


The winner will be featured online at, win a Family-Pack of tickets to Circle Of Sisters and we will feature their recipe at the Circle Of Sisters Expo for 40K people to see.

DJay's Grill


Cooking Time: 30-40 minutes
Tell us about yourself: I am senior fraud Investigator with NYC Bureau of Fraud Investigations. I am also the owner of DJay's Fish Fry. As a street vendor I sell fried fish, shrimp, chicken and fries.
Ingredients: Swai (fileted catfish) seaoned with red crushed pepper, apple cider vinegar, fresh cilantro, mango, red onion diced and Dijon mustard.
Instructions: Mix sauce first let sit for a few minutes. Place one large piece of fish with sauce on aluminium foil and seal. Place the fish on the grill for about 30 minutes. Eat right out of the foil package.
