The daring rescue of a man from the fifth floor of a Washington Heights building turned this group of handymen into instant heroes.
The dramatic save unfolded when Rosendo Lopez and two other workers heard a man yelling for help as smoke billowed from a window in the 172nd St. building on Monday.
Suddenly, the trapped man started to climb out of the burning apartment.
