Smartphone obsession makes ignored partners cheat: study
Smartphone madness is driving a wedge between partners, a new study says.
Almost half the people who cheated on their lovers, 45%, did so because the partners spent too much time on phones.
The survey, conducted by a dating website for partnered people called Victoria Milan, found that people were constantly on their phones during meals and conversations and sometimes even immediately after sex.
Some 6,000 people were surveyed. Women ages 30-50 were the likeliest to cheat because of phone obsession, which is known as "phubbing," or using a phone to snub people, the Daily Mail reported.
