Baby Hope’s headstone now bears victim’s real name
A crew of stone cutters etched the Baby Hope’s true identity — Anjelica Castillo — on a black granite stone in St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx on Thursday, bringing an end to a 22-year mystery that began when the murdered 4-year-old was found stuffed in a cooler off the Henry Hudson Parkway.
Crown Monuments sand blasted and re-inscribed the grave marker for free.
It was a special day for fifth generation stone cutter Robert Caro — who was 6-years-old when his dad worked on Baby Hope’s stone in 1994.
