90-year-old cyclist finishes epic journey from Kentucky to Florida

A World War II veteran completed his 930-mile tricycle journey from Louisville, Ky. to Siesta Key, Fla., on Friday.

"I feel great," Bert Blevens, 90, told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. "I feel relaxed, I feel good. I'm not as tired as I thought I'd be, but I might take a little rest."

Blevens, who typically rides about 20 miles a day, set off Aug. 20 and stayed in hotels along the way. It took him 21 days to cruise across Tennessee, Georgia and most of Florida because his recumbent tricycle is not permitted on highways, the Florida newspaper reported
