Michelle Obama credits prayer for helping daughters Malia and Sasha endure the spotlight
Mom-in-chief Michelle Obama praised her two daughters for seamlessly moving into the spotlight when their dad won the White House, crediting prayer for their poise under pressure.
"Right now, whether you like me or the President, people in America are praying for those two little girls. And that's one of the many reasons why they're standing up straight," she told ABC News' Robin Roberts at the BET Leading Women concerence in Miami on Wednesday.
"I'm just so proud of how they have managed all this with poise and grace and maturity," Obama, 50, added about Malia, who turns 16 this July, and Sasha, 12.
The Obamas have done their best to shield the girls from the inevitable media attention over their fashion choices, dating life and everything in between.
