Former NBA player Lamar Odom is kicking the year off to a great start! After his near death experience in 2015 after ODing at a Nevada brother and his rocky relationship with his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian, things are finally looking up.

Odom checked into rehab in December and has successfully completed the 30-day program, according to E! News. Odom also attended both individual and group therapy sessions while receiving treatment at the facility. Prior to rehab, Odom was featured on an episode of The Doctors, in which he talked to Dr. Travis Stork, an ER physician.

"I am so proud of Lamar and truly look forward to sharing the ups and downs of his journey with our viewers," Stork said, according to his show's statement.

The great news came just in time for the New Years. Upon his departure, sources say he looked refreshed and happy. During the holidays, Odom spent time with his teenage son and daughter.

His attorney released this statement:

“It’s 100 percent of bettering himself. Being a better father to his kids, being a better friend and just taking responsibility and living a more healthy and fulfilled life. There’s a lot to live for. He’s young. He has the rest of his life in front of him. He has a lot to look forward to.”
