Is Lamar Odom Returning to Basketball?

It’s been three years since Lamar Odom stepped foot on a professional basketball court, but according his former University of Rhode Island coach, Jim Harrick, that break won’t last much longer.

TMZ Sports caught up with Harrick, who says he recently spoke with Odom, and claims the retired NBA player is excited about “the idea of joining Cube’s 3-on-3 league.”

For those who may be in the dark, Cube’s 3-on-3 league is called BIG3. It’s a 3-on-3 basketball league that features former NBA players. So it makes sense that Odom would show an interest in joining if he’s looking to get back on the court.

According to TMZ, Odom “previously told Harrick he wanted to hang up his sneakers for good,” but Harrick thinks “if he can get in shape, he can play with anybody."

It sounds like Odom is healing.

The former forward recently opened up about the trials and tribulations of his detrimental drug addiction, which cost him his wife, his family, and his career.

Could this be the beginning of a new chapter? We'll see!
