Disney is in the process of creating live-action adaptations of their most memorable films. Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast already took over the box office, racking in more than $1.5 billion to date, and now it’s time for Aladdin to reemerge.

According to Deadline, Will Smith is in talks of taking on the role of the very funny, blue cartoon character made famous by the late Robin Williams. Production is said to begin this July in the U.K and last approximately six months. There’s no telling who might join The Fresh Prince on camera, but we’re hoping it’s a cast that compliments Oscar nominee.

Deadline reports “the newly re-imagined project is being produced by Dan Lin [and executive produced] by Jonathan Eirich.”

Take a trip down memory lane and relive the Disney character that made you believe in the magic of “three wishes.”
