The WBLS Holiday Bash Was Lit: Here’s What You Missed

It may be hard to believe, but the holiday season is officially upon us. Christmas trees are going up, holiday lights are beginning to shine bright, and WBLS is here to help you jingle your way through this most festive time of year.

To kick off the season, yours truly brought the biggest, bestest, baddest holiday show to town. With a star-studded line-up, listeners watched Tamar Braxton, Monica, and all four members of Xscape tear up the stage with special performances from Kelly Rowland’s June’s Diary and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique – talk about a family hustle.

In true Tamar Her form, the Bluebird of Happiness opened her show with her upbeat track, “Hot Sugar,” and wrapped her set with “Love and War,” but not before throwing a few shady branches at her soon-to-be ex-husband.

When Monica hit the stage, she delivered all the classics including “First Night” and “Angel of Mine.” And her costume change game was definitely on point!

Of course, Xscape closed out the New Jersey-based show, and they had the crowd on their feet – from start to finish. The R&B quartet came with the hits, performing “Just Kickin It,” “Understanding,” and the unforgettable chart-topper, “My Little Secret.” In addition to group tracks, each member took the spotlight to perform solo projects like Kandi's "Don't Think I'm Not" and LaTocha's "Liar Liar."

So if you weren’t inside the Prudential Center this Thanksgiving weekend, there’s no doubt about it – you missed out! But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
