In a tightly contested preseason game between city rivals, the Jets overcame the Giants in overtime, 24-21. This game isn’t your typical preseason game since both teams were fighting to win the Snoopy trophy in the Snoopy Bowl, appropriately named since both teams play in MetLife stadium.
The Jets started rookie Geno Smith at Quarterback and Mark Sanchez started on the bench. Rex Ryan still hasn’t made a decision on who the starting Quarterback is as of yet but if this game served as a barometer to whom he may choose to start, based on Smith’s performance, the job seems to be Sanchez’s to lose.
