1) Davy Jones Dies

We've lost another little piece of our child hood this past week.  On February 29, Davy Jones, lead singer of The Monkees suffered a heart attack and died.   He was 66.

He suffered the heart attack at a ranch near his Florida home where he was visiting horses.  He began experiencing distress when he was sitting in his car and that is where a ranch hand found him.  His funeral arrangements have been set and rumors are rampant that the rest of his former bandmates will not be attending his services.

Jones is most remembered for being a part of The Monkees when they released 3 number one hits - "Daydream Believer", "Last Train to Clarksville", and "I'm a Believer".  Read more at TMZ
