Keke Palmer and ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, have decided to postpone their court hearing for the restraining order Palmer requested against Jackson.
The hearing was originally set for Dec. 5. Back in November, Palmer requested and was granted a temporary restraining order from Jackson. He was prohibited from all contact with her and their son, 9-month-old Leodis. Jackson is required to stay more than 100 yards away from the two.
According to a court filing, the former couple requested to have the court date rescheduled in order to “allow the parties time to attend mediation. The parties request that the Mediation and Petitioner’s DVRO be continued to a mutually agreeable date.”
They also agreed that parameters set in the temporary restraining order “shall remain in full force and effect” until the rescheduled hearing, according to the filing.
When Palmer first filed for the restraining last month, she alleged that Jackson “trespassed into my home” and “threatened me, then physically attacked me — lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police.”
The filing included images of what appeared to be security footage of the alleged incident. Palmer claimed the abuse occurred over a two-year period.
