After being separated for two years, Ashley Darby officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Michael Darby.

According to reports, Michael said he and Ashley had “an amicable and fair settlement due to their prenup.” They also agreed to split custody of their two sons, Dean and Dylan. In November 2023, Ashley said that she and Michael only spoke regarding their children.

“We’re just really only communicating for the children, which I think is the best until we get to a better place personally,” she said. In April 2022, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star revealed that she was separating from Michael after almost eight years of marriage.

In a statement, she wrote, “People will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gaps issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences.”

She continued, “Pieces of all these may have affected our pure love for each other, but no one reason is the root cause of our mutual decision to go our separate ways.” Darby explained that they are in different stages in their lives.

“We both want the other to achieve true happiness and fulfillment and feel that we cannot do this together.” Ashley Darby said. Since announcing her separation, the reality star has been seen publicly dating other men.

We recently reported that she suffered from depression while dealing with her separation. “I even went through a little bit of a depression of, like, thinking about where my life is now versus where I thought it was going to be and coming to terms with that.”
