Casandra “Cassie” Ventura made a gentle yet symbolic return to social media on August 7, posting her first message since giving birth to her third child and enduring the emotional aftermath of a highly publicized criminal trial involving her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Her post, a lighthearted nod to her postpartum journey, quietly resonated with resilience and recovery.
In an Instagram Story, Cassie reshared a video originally posted by “@momswithplans.” The clip features a man dancing tentatively to DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts,” while the graphic reads, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.” Cassie added in her caption, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”
A New Chapter Begins
On May 28, Cassie and her husband Alex Fine welcomed a baby boy—her third child. The couple are also parents to daughters Frankie Stone (5) and Sunny Cinco (4). The birth occurred just weeks after Cassie took the witness stand in Combs’ trial.
During the trial, Cassie delivered powerful testimony recounting years of alleged abuse and control, including so-called “freak-offs”—coerced sex parties with hired sex workers. In the end, Combs was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution, but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Throughout the trial, Alex Fine stood firmly by his wife’s side. After her testimony, he released a stirring statement: “I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.” He also clarified, “I did not save Cassie… Cassie saved Cassie.”
Her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, reflected on her role in the legal outcome: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023… she paved the way… by coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.”
