Busta Rhymes breaks his silence about the recent allegations in a lawsuit that have been brought up against him by his former assistant, Dashiel Gables.

Gables claims in his lawsuit that the Brooklyn rapper assaulted him and didn’t pay him while he was working for him. Reports say that Gables is expected to speak out at a press conference in Brooklyn about the accusations.

Gables’ lawsuit claims that the assault took place in January; however, after the police questioned Busta to give his take on the incident, he was not charged with anything at the time. Months after the lawsuit was filed, Busta Rhymes responded to Gables’ allegations.

“I have been made aware of the claims made by Dashiel Gables, and I completely and categorically deny these allegations… Apparently, Dashiel has decided to respond to being let go by manufacturing claims against me in an attempt to attack and damage my reputation,” the rapper said.

He continued, “I am preparing a countersuit which I am confident will expose this for what it is, an attempted shakedown… Ultimately, I am certain the truth will prevail.”
