Tyler The Creator released a vibrant and playful music video for “Darling, I,” a standout track from his 2024 album Chromakopia. The self-directed video marks a colorful continuation of the album’s visual journey, showcasing a gallery of iconic cameos that add cinematic flair and star power.

Star-Studded Visual Narrative

The video opens with retro charm—a period-style bus depot scene featuring Teezo Touchdown in the driver’s seat. Tyler appears next, receiving dating advice in a nostalgic sitcom wrap-around, while Lionel Boyce is seen in a heated pay-phone outburst.

Nia Long emerges in a sumptuous limo sequence. She leans in close to Tyler, appearing to deliver a cheek peck before jokingly sticking out her tongue in a memorable, playful moment. Meanwhile, Lauren London appears in a stylish booth exchange with Tyler, adding romantic intrigue to the visual storyline.

Willow Smith shares a photo-booth scene with Tyler, both dressed as Black Panther Party members, blending nostalgia with cheeky camaraderie. Ayo Edebiri briefly receives flowers from Tyler in yet another affectionate cameo.

Other noteworthy cameos include Chase Infiniti, Na-Kel Smith, Orione Strohhacker, and Jasmine Rutledge—an ensemble that elevates the visual narrative through whimsy and creative diversity.

Returning to Chromakopia

Though Tyler released his follow-up album Don’t Tap The Glass in July 2025, he chose to revisit Chromakopia with this energetic video release. Chromakopia, released in October 2024, blends hip-hop, jazz, soul, and introspective lyrics and remains a fan favorite.
