Ice-T and Coco Austin’s daughter, Chanel Austin, gave a helping hand during the Macy’s Rookie in the City Fashion Show.
Held at Macy’s Herald Square in New York on September 18, Chanel strutted down the runway sporting a black Nike outfit with gray cardigan. She struck a pose and smile for the cameras when she got to the end of the runway.
As she made her way back up the runway, she noticed another young model who appeared anxious at the start of the catwalk. In a video shared by creator Mickey Blank on Instagram, you can see Chanel, 9, gently grab the young girls hand and walking alongside her.
Chanel, full of confidence, radiated as she walked along side the younger model. She took a moment to bend down and wave to the cameras when she got to the end of the runway.
The heartwarming event became a memorable piece of the show. Other celebrity children who took part in the show include Ciara, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Dascha Polanco and NBA star Josh Hart’s kids, among others.
As for Ice-T and Austin’s daughter, she isn’t afraid of the spotlight and has previously modeled in runway shows. She’s also acted and edited her own social media videos, which her parents shared online.
In an interview with TODAY, Ice-T spoke about letting his daughter become an actor one day. At the time, he said he would “definitely” let Chanel be on “Law & Order: SVU” but under one condition.
“I would never let her be a victim,” the actor and rapper said. “I mean, no disrespect to any parents that have had their kids on our show, but it’s creepy to me… I would never cast my daughter in anything negative or weird.”
