Kerry Washington Shares Details About ‘Desperate Housewives’ Reboot

Kerry Washington is revealing details about the Desperate Housewives reboot.

Speaking with Extra TV, the acclaimed actress shared what to expect in her new role in the upcoming series Wisteria Lane. Washington said that the tone of the show “will be very similar” to the original.

“For me, this is really a chance to kind of pay homage to Marc Cherry and to all of those actresses and to just try to ask ourselves, what would that show be today? But with really all of the love and respect for everything it’s always been,” Washington said.

Washington is also starring in Wake Up Dead Man which is to be releaded in theaters on November 26. She spoke about staring alongside Mila Kunis and Jeremy Renner.

“It was so fun to film this because the cast is just filled with heavy hitters,” Washington explained.

Washington said that Daniel Craig was “an incredible leader on set.”

This was also Renner’s first film since his devastating snowmobile accident.

Washington noted, “I mean, to see Jeremy Renner come to work in his first job after the accident was just so moving every day.”

She aslo expressed her llove for the entire cast.

“I got to work with some of my favorite actors. I’m like the biggest Andrew Scott fan on the planet,” Washington said. “I’m a little bit obsessed with him, so that was just so much fun.”

If that’s not enough, Washington is appearing on season two of her hit Audible original “The Prophecy.”

“It’s about what if the Bible was coming alive in real time in the world we live in now,” Washington said.

“You have this woman, Virginia, who has this miracle inexplicable pregnancy,” Washington said. “Even though she is married to a man who is incapable of conceiving.”

 “It’s just really a magical experience to go into a booth and create an entire world, just with sound,” Washington continued.
