“I’m sure you can imagine how this can be when someone is like, ‘Queen Latifah, I heard about your brother. Can I get an autograph?’ I’m like same sentence? What?! And I was like, ‘Y’all don’t really know how I feel,” she continued. “Y’all don’t care.’ And I was about to walk away from it for a second, and Patti was one of those people who had talked to me and who had been through things like that and was like, ‘Listen. Don’t give up. You just keep staying on your path. You’re going to get through this.’”
“We are so honored to be in business with a legend such as Ms. LaBelle,” Primary Wave’s Steven Greener said in a statement. “She’s a true icon and trailblazer. We are looking forward to doing great things together.”
