Pusha T and his wife Virginia Williams are expecting their second child together.
On Friday (Nov 14), Williams announced the news in an Instagram post wearing a black dress and bright smile as she posed at the opening of Williams’ art exhibit. “2nd masterpiece on the way…🥹 God is good,” she captioned the post.
The couple’s son, Nigel Brixx Thornton, 5, hugged his mother in front of her exhibition, titled Hancock Avenue. Another image shows her posing solo with her belly on full display.
“I named this body of work Hancock Avenue after the street I grew up on in Norfolk, Virginia,” Williams’ artist statement began.
Pusha T, whose real name is Terrence Thornton, also shared photos from the exhibit. In a post directed to his son Nigel, he confirmed they are expecting a baby boy.
“ALL THINGS CONSIDERED…❤️💙💙💙,” the “So Be It” rapper began the Instagram caption.
“Nigel, you ask and you shall receive…but this time it was mommy who made it happen. She prayed day and night, struggled with disappointments, but she never gave up on your wishes. You are gonna owe her big time!! New responsibility, new standards, and new expectations all come with being a big brother…I hope you are ready,” he continued, adding that Nigel would have to learn to “share them toys, teach your gifts, and love on the new best friend that mommy gave you.”
He then referenced his own experience in having a sibling, writing, ” You’re gonna love it, just look at your daddy and Uncle Mookie…what’s better than that?😎.”
The couple tied the knot in 2018 after 11 years of dating. The pair first met at an album release show in their shared hometown of Virginia Beach, Va. They welcomed Nigel Brixx in June 2020.
