Natalia Bryant’s restraining order against her stalker has been renewed for an additional five years, per an exclusive TMZ report. This time it includes her mother and sisters.
Natalia, daughter of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant, first sought out authorities when she was 17 years old, filing a restraining order against Dwayne Kemp.
Kemp reportedly believes that he and Natalia were involved in a romance.
She was granted a restraining order against Kemp in 2022 – two years after he allegedly began contacting the teenager. According to court filings, Kemp initially reached out through social media, sending repeated messages and advances that Bryant never responded to. She later stated that she did not immediately block him out of fear of what he might do if she cut off access entirely.
Five-year extension
Recently, the restraining order received an extension after Kemp broke it over the summer, trying to attend an event “organized by Ms. Bryant and her employer to make contact with Ms. Bryant.”
As the Daily Mail reports, in August the alleged stalker attempted to deliver flowers to Natalia and her family.
“At the August 24th event, Kemp brought flowers that he intended to give directly to Ms. Bryant, but when he could not locate her, he instead attempted to deliver the flowers to Ms. Bryant’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, with the intention that those flowers be delivered to Ms. Bryant,” read a November filing from Natalia’s attorney.
According to Natalia’s lawyers, Kemp’s behavior “demonstrates his continued fixation and complete disregard” for the restraining order that exists against him.
“Kemp’s effort to contact Ms. Bryant indirectly through her immediate family member, namely her mother, demonstrates his continued fixation and complete disregard for the [Civil Harassment Restraining Order’s] prohibitions,” it continued. “Upon encountering security, Kemp admitted his conduct would violate the CHRO, but Kemp stated that his conduct was now permissible because he believed (mistakenly) that the order had expired.”
Security images in the filing show Kemp holding a bouquet of orange and yellow flowers.
“Robert Lara stated that on August 24, 2025, while attending Kobe Bryant Event at LA Live/ Crypto.Com Arena he was advised that Suspect Dwayne Kemp was at the location with bouquet of flowers,” read the filing. “Lara responded to the location where the Suspect was detained by security staff. He immediately recognized him as the Suspect that Victim Natalia Bryant has current restraining order against him.”
