Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Victoria Monét is preparing to earn her culinary diploma later this year, a goal she first publicly revealed after enrolling in culinary school in 2025. The multi-talented artist shared the milestone update on her social media pages, delighting fans who have followed her kitchen journey.

Monét, 33, posted a photo of her student identification card on her @itschefmonet cooking account with a simple, celebratory caption: “Thank you 2025 – 2026 I’ll have a culinary diploma! It’s up.” The message underscored that she is on track to complete her formal culinary education this year.

The announcement comes months after the R&B star first confirmed she was pursuing her dream of becoming a chef. In November, Monét told fans she was “halfway through” her culinary program and embraced the hard work that comes with professional training.

“Some of you might be wondering why I’m in a chef uniform — and I’ll tell you why: I started culinary school,” Monét said in the video she shared at the time. “It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do.”

Monét has said her passion for food stems from a desire to create meals that connect people. “I’ve been super passionate about recipes that you can pass down from generation to generation,” she said. “Food makes people feel when they’re communing together.”

In addition to pursuing her culinary diploma, Monét has launched an online cooking series titled “Saucy Sundays” where she posts recipes, tips and kitchen insights with her followers. “I’m a huge fan of sauce and how you sauce up a meal,” she said, noting its importance in flavor profiles.

While balancing her studies, Monét has made clear she isn’t stepping away from music. She assured fans that she remains active in the studio, likening her creative process to refining a new album. “I’m still ‘cooking’ up my next album,” she said, reflecting both her musical and gastronomic pursuits.

Monét’s artistic career has spanned chart-topping music and children’s literature, and now it may soon include a formal qualification in the culinary arts. Her journey highlights a growing trend of artists pursuing passions outside of their primary careers, blending creativity in both art and food.
