Ray-J had to be rushed to the hospital for sudden onset of heart pains and pneumonia, per the TMZ.
The outlet exclusively reported that the “One Wish” singer was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital on the evening of Tuesday (Jan 6). He has reportedly received X-rays and an echocardiogram.
According to the outlet, Ray J, whose given name is William Ray Norwood, Jr., has not yet received results.
The hospitalization comes four years after the 44-year-old singer battled with a similar infection at a hospital in Miami. At the time, he reported having no one by his side.
“I been in here all by myself for a week,” the 39-year-old shared with Hollywood Unlocked, adding that “no family members came to see me not even my wife.”
He also believed that his ‘busy schedule and constant travel’ might have put him at risk for pneumonia in 2021. He admitted to fering for his life and was “thankful” to have recovered.
The most recent hospitalization arrives after the “Wait A Minute” singer’s seemingly tumultuous year.
In September 2025, Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner sued Ray J for defamation after the singer claimed he was working with the federal government to build a RICO case against the pair.
He was arrested two months later after allegedly pulling a gun on his estranged wife, Princess Love.
Ray J most recently involved himself into the Sean “Diddy” Combs debacle with a rant about the producer assaulting him.
He is reportedly still in the hospital waiting on test results.
