The buzz began when Rockland Records posted artwork teasing an “It Depends” remix and tagged R. Kelly in the caption. Within minutes, fans noticed that Brown appeared to jump into the comment section. Breezy responded with wide-eyed emojis and flames.

Some took the response as an excited co-sign. Others saw it as a simple, casual emoji moment. As of now, it remains unclear whether the remix is official or if any vocals attributed to Kelly are even authentic, given the power of artificial intelligence, which he addresses on the rumored remix.

“This ain’t AI I’m on this mix for real,” he says in the alleged vocals.

Neither Brown nor his representatives have issued a statement, and there has been no formal release announcement. Still, the online reaction has been swift, intense, and deeply divided.

“I will FOREVER be a FAN!!! Go lock up the PARENTS,” commented one Instagram user.

“Keep him in there, but get him a studio immediately” said another.

R Kelly’s remix of “It Depends” isn’t the first time he’s added his touch on one of Breezy’s hit records since serving his prison sentence. Last year, the R&B legend tapped into the “Residuals” challenge.

Kelly is currently serving a 30-year federal prison sentence for racketeering and sex charges.
