Ice-T recently revealed how he and his wife, Coco Austin, have built a successful marriage.
Appearing on an episode of the Prince St. Pizza podcast, the legendary rapper and actor shared his insights on relationships. He explained how marriage is like making a feature film.
”I think getting married is like casting for a movie. But you’ve got to find somebody that’s ready for all the scenes,” Ice-T told hosts Nick Turturro and Godfrey. “The fun scenes, the wild scenes, the rough scenes, the tough scenes. And that’s what marriage is.”
Ice-T said that a good marriage is based on mutual partnership.
”There’s gonna be moments where she’s going to need you,” he continued. “There’s going to be moments you’re going to need her. But you want to get married to the person who can put up with you. All of us are flawed.”
Ice-T also said that Coco can “deal” with his explicit language because she understands it isn’t “directed at her.”
“She understood that, and Coco’s wild. She’s a party girl, and she’s an extrovert, and I dig that,” he continued. “It does not bother me. I’m not intimidated by it.”
How Ice-T Met Coco
The Law and Order: SUV star went on to share how he and Coco met.
“First thing I saw was her teeth,” he said. “Then I saw her boobs. So I was like, Okay, she’s a white girl. She got big boobs. Cool. Then she turned around, and I saw she had a big ass. I was like, A f**kin’ unicorn. I’m like, What the f**k just happened? So, in the words of Iceberg Slim, I struggled to remain calm.”
On social media, Ice-T had to put somebody in their place for speaking ill of him. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he paid tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr on his holiday. One user said he couldn’t discuss racial injustice because he’s married to a white woman. “
Wow…. I have no words for this b*tch… smh,” he responded.
