Regina Hall will star opposite Adam Driver in the hostage thriller series RABBIT, RABBIT.

The Netflix title, created by Peter Craig and directed by Philip Barantini, follows an escaped convict (Driver) who “takes hostages in an effort to bargain for his freedom — finding himself in an unmanageable social experiment with his captives and a poker match with a veteran negotiator.”

Hall will portray Poppy, a retired FBI supervisory special agent who is reluctantly pulled back into the field. Known for her sharp instincts and even sharper tongue, Poppy has little patience for posturing or manipulation. Trained in “tactical empathy,” she becomes the lone negotiator capable of meeting J-Will (Driver) on equal intellectual footing. She’s challenging not just his demands, but the ideology driving his actions.

The series positions the two as opposing forces in a battle of wills, where conversation itself becomes a weapon.

The new thriller follows Hall’s her notable performance in Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another. While she was only in the film for eight minutes, critics say she was a stand out among the film’s large ensemble.

Hall is widely recognized for her role in the Scary Movie franchise and is set to reprise her part in the sixth installment from the Wayans brothers. Her film credits also include Girls TripHonk for Jesus. Save Your Soul., The Best Man series, and Think Like a Man along with its sequel.

Last month, Hall, alongside Dakota Johnson and her One Battle After Another co-star Chase Infiniti, presented $1 million in college scholarships to high school students from underserved communities across Los Angeles.
