The fight between Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller and Kingsley Ibeh went viral over the weekend for a different kind of highlight.

During the fight at Madison Square Garden, the heavyweight contenders were in the middle of the second round, before the surprising moment. Miller was protecting his face as Ibeh landed a flurry of punches. Fully locked in, Ibeh connected more punches before the hairpiece lifted from Miller’s head.

With each punch, the wig flapped in the air, desperately trying to hang on.

Miller was left with little choice but to remove the toupee between rounds. As an apparent gift to the audience, smiling, he launched it into the crowd.

The unexpected moment seemingly activated Miller who was losing in the first round. In the second half of the 10-round fight, Miller picked up his cardio and finding his rhythm. He ultimately won after a split decision by scores of 94-96, 97-93 and 97-93.

“I get to my mama’s house, and I saw some shampoo bottles on the table,” Miller said after the fight. “I shampooed, and that shit was like ammonium bleach. I literally lost my hair like two days ago. I called my manager and said get me one of those manes and I slapped that shit on real quick. Ibeh knocked that shit off. It’s funny, man. I’m a comedian, and you’ve got to make fun of yourself.”

The recent match is Miller’s first fight since August 2024 against Andy Ruiz Jr, which ended in a draw.

Miller is now 27-1-2 (22 KO), while Ibeh drops to 16-3-1 (14 KO).
