Mya And 2 Chainz To Headline The CIAA’s Tournament Concert

Mya and 2 Chainz are set to headline the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) tournament’s concert. As the nation’s first and oldest historically Black athletic conference, the events will take place at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore fifth time in a row.

​The Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament is from February 24 to February 28.  

​Describes as more than a championship tournament — “#February Is CIAA,” – “a living annual celebration of Black excellence, legacy and HBCU pride.” 

Annually, over 100,000 alumni, students, families, and fans across the country head to Charm City to close out Black History Month at one of the most anticipated sporting events in America. So far, the CIAA tournament has generated over $100 million in economic impact on the city. It also awards millions of dollars in scholarships tostudent-athletes and has “helped shape generations of leaders on and off the court.”

​Other usical Acts and celebrity hosts include Lance Gross, DJ Denny K, Supa DJ Big L,Heavy Hitter, DJ Double J, DJ Quick Silva, Frank Ski, DJ Tanz, Entrepreneur Pinky Cole, WNBA player Sonia Chase, and more.

​A Grammy Award winner, Mya has been a dominant force in R&B and pop since the 90s. She launched her career with a self-titled platinum debut album in 1998, featuring hits like “It’s All About Me.” Mya was also apar tog the global smash “Lady Marmalade” for the Moulin Rouge! Soundtrack.

​2 Chainz took the industry by storm with his arrival in 2011. His solo debut, Based on a T.R.U. Story entered the Billboard 200 at number one. It also produced triple-platinum hits like “No Lie” and “I’m Different.” Beyond music, he has built a multifaceted empire as a Grammy winner, entrepreneur, and host of the popular TV series Most Expensivest.

​The action tips off Tuesday, February 24 th at 10 a.m. ET, showcasing the CIAA’s 12-member institutions and features 22 fast-paced men’s and women’s championship matchups.
