The woman who was arrested for shooting at Rihanna’s home has officially been charged.

According to The New York Times,  the suspect, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, of Orlando, Fla., was charged with 14 felony counts, including one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

Nathan J. Hochman, the district attorney of Los Angeles County, announced the charges in a statement.

Opening fire in any populated neighborhood is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk, and will be fully prosecuted,” Hochman’s statement read.

Ortiz’s bail has been listed as $1.9 million, and she faces up to life in prison if she is convicted. Also, her arraignment is scheduled for March 25.

In a statement, the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office confirmed they are in charge of Ortiz’s case.

“Because this matter is pending before the court, our office cannot comment on the allegations at this time,” the statement read. “As in every case, we will work to ensure that our client receives the full protections guaranteed under the Constitution.”

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Rihanna’s Beverly Hills-area home where Ortiz allegedly fired 10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. At the time of the shooting, Rihanna was inside the residence with her partner, A$AP Rocky. Also, their three young children (RZA, Riot, and Rocki), her mother, and several staff members were present.

Authorities report that the shots were fired from a white Tesla parked across the street; while multiple bullets struck the property’s front gate and one penetrated a wall of the house, fortunately, no injuries were reported.

RIHANNA’S HOME HAS BEEN TARGETED IN THE PAST

Unfortunately,  this was not the first time that Rihanna’s home had been attacked by assailants. Her mansion in the Hollywood Hills was broken into twice in 2018.

Rihanna and A$AP share three children: 3-year-old RZA Athleston, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and Rocki Irish Mayers, who is 5 months old.

According to PEOPLE, Rihanna reportedly purchased the home in December 2020.
