Jahna Sebastian, the mother of Swizz Beatz ’s 17-year-old daughter Nicole Dean, has made explosive allegations against the producer and his wife, Alicia Keys.

On Friday (March 13), in a series of emotional posts, Sebastian accused the long-time happy couple of enabling Nicole’s alleged addiction to drugs and vapes. She only mentioned marijuana regarding drugs. Sebastian also said Nicole hit her in defense of Beatz and Keys, suggesting parental alienation.

In one post, captured by The Neighborhood Talk, Sebastian wrote “Do you think it’s ok to hit your mother? In the name of money, fame and drugs?”

Sebastian continued, “She said she hates me, my mom, my friends. Nicole got addicted to drugs and vapes in the US while in their care. This is why she is acting like this. It’s not normal teenage stuff.”

Sebastian said she has spoken to Beatz about Nicole’s alleged behavior but nothing has been done so she believes going public is her only option. “I’ve spoken to her dad so many times about it. They ignore everything.” She added, “If you have to go public to save your child from drugs you should instead of your child spiralling out of control and publicly dying from an overdose in a bathtub like Whitney Houston’s daughter.”

Co-parenting

Nicole Dean was born to Swizz Beatz and Jahna Sebastian on May 22, 2008. Beatz reportedly started dating the “Empire State of Mind” singer the same year that Dean was born. She is his third child following Prince Nasir Dean with Nicole Levy in 2000 and Kasseem Dean Jr. with ex wife Mashonda Tifrere in 2006. Keys and Beatz, who wed in 2010, share Egypt Daoud Dean and Genesis Ali Dean.

In Sebastian’s recent post she included a video where vape pens that allegedly belong to Nicole were found in Beatz and Keys’ San Diego home.

Sebastian seemingly has had a disfavor for Keys’ for some time. Keys previously asked Nicole to call her “Umi”, the Arabic word for mother, rather than “stepmom,” a revelation from Keys’ memoir More Myself: A Journey.

Sebastian wasn’t too fond of this suggestion, as was evident from her declaration on Instagram: “I am the only mother to my child … No one else will be called any kind of ‘mum’ name in English, Arabic, not an ‘umi’ or anything else in other language by her [Dean].”

The beef continued when Beatz clapped back with an Instagram post of his own. Per her father, Nicole “chose to call [Alicia Keys] ‘umi’”. Sebastian later claimed that the post caused her to receive “violent threats” from fans.

Who is Jahna Sebastian?

Sebastian is a musician of South Indian and Russian heritage. The daughter of two musicians, plus a Grammy-winning stepmother, Nicole has taken an interest in pursuing music. She won “Best Singer” at her prom and has accompanied her mom and dad at recording sessions.
