Miss J Alexander says he has still not heard from Tyra Banks since suffering a stroke, but holds no bitterness towards the former supermodel.

In an update from TMZ, the runway coach remains hopeful that he and Banks can find their way back to each other. As long as Banks reaches out to him, he says he is open to reconciliation. The insider information arrives a month after Miss J revealed that he had been waiting on a visit from Banks.

“She just sent me a text that she wants to come and visit me,” he said in the explosive documentary, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

Miss J revealed that he’d had a stroke in late 2022 that put him in the hospital for over a year and left him unable to walk. For a period of time, he also couldn’t talk. He shared in the documentary that fellow panelists Nigel Barker and Jay Manuel both came to visit him.

In addition to his former ANTM co-hosts, several other celebrities made the trip to see him during his recovery, among them Angela Bassett, Alfre Woodard and George Lopez.

To date, Banks, who now resides in Australia, has not issued a public statement addressing Miss J’s stroke or his comments from last month.

Miss J, 63, said to PEOPLE that his days consist of “physical therapy and occupational therapy two times a week, watching TV, doing word searches and watching fashion shows old and new online.”

Miss J Alexander made a splash during his time on America’s Next Top Model from 2003 to 2012. For 18 seasons, he coached the models on perfecting their runway walks and offered sometimes-biting critiques on their performance.
