Michael B. Jordan recently shared where he keeps his Academy Award for his performance in Sinners.

Speaking with E! News, Jordan shared where his trophy is located at the Sunday, April 26 premiere of Netflix’s new animated movie Swapped.

“Right now, it’s, uhh — right now it’s in my closet. It’s in my closet right now,” Jordan said. “It’s one of those things that, I don’t know, you don’t really know where to put it, you know. It’s kind of moved around to a bunch of different places.”

“But it’s off,” he added. “[I’m] focused on the next thing right now.”

In his acceptance speech, Jordan first thanked his family.

“God is good. God is good. Yo, Mama, what’s up? Y’all know how I feel about my mother. And my father’s here. Hey, Pops, where you at? My dad came in from Ghana. My brother and sister are here, my family. I want to thank Warner Bros.”

Jordan also thanked Ryan Coogler, his frequent collaborator.

“I want to thank Mike [De Luca] and Pam [Abdy] for believing in this dream, this vision of Ryan Coogler, and betting on a culture and betting on original ideas and original artistry. [Ryan], you’re an amazing, amazing person. I’m so honored to call you a collaborator and a friend. You gave me the opportunity in space for me to be seen. And I love you, too, bro. Love you to death.”

JORDAN’S NEW PROJECTS

For Jordan’s next project, he’s working on a feature film adaptation of the iconic video game franchise, Battlefield. Partnering with blockbuster visionary Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible), Jordan will serve as a producer. The film aims to translate the “operatic” scale and signature destructibility of the military shooter to the big screen.

Positioned as a theatrical-first experience rather than a streaming release, the project signals Jordan’s continued evolution from a versatile leading man into a dominant industry power player. As he balances this with his upcoming directorial effort on The Thomas Crown Affair and the neon-soaked Miami Vice ’85.
