Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Graduates From Spelman With Psychology Degree

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, daughter of actress Angelina Jolie and actor Brad Pitt, is officially a Spelman graduate.

The 21-year old walked across the stage at Spelman College’s 139th commencement ceremony, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Zahara was joined by her mom, Angelina Jolie and her siblings Pax, 22, and Knox, 17. Jolie could be seen wearing a floor-length gray coat and a pair of black boots.

Brad Pitt along with her other siblings Maddox, 24, Shiloh, 19, and Vivienne, 17 were not in attendance according to reports.

A video of the moment, seemingly confirms that Zahara officially dropped her father’s surname and is now officially going by the name Zahara Marley Jolie.

Over the past few years, some of the children have reportedly chosen to publicly use only Jolie’s surname.

Shiloh Jolie legally filed to drop her father’s last name from her own, and goes by “Shi” in the professional dance world. Maddox, Pax and Vivienne have also made the same decision within their respective careers.

Last month, Zahara spoke fondly of Jolie at a mother-daughter brunch for the Pearl of Purpose Foundation in Atlanta. She opened up about the close relationship she has with her mom and how they create their own unique bond in the spotlight.

While she initially described the relationship as “challenging,” she clarified: “Not challenging because I don’t value it, but because my mom and I have a unique, almost kindred, relationship that can be hard to put into words.”

She continued, saying, “Our love for each other is a found one. I was adopted at 6 months old and given some of the most special and loving people as my siblings, with a mom who raised us on the value of helping others, being kind and always striving for growth as people.”

In November 2023, Zahara joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at the historically Black, women’s college and she identified herself as Zahara Marley Jolie during the induction ceremony.
