Tragedy struck a Crown Heights nightclub over the weekend, leaving three people dead and multiple people injured.

According to police, several gunmen opened fire inside the restaurant, Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue, around 3:30 am. The victims were between the ages of 19 and 61, and the three victims who were pronounced dead were a 19-year-old man, a 27-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man.

The other victims were rushed to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Police also said that there were at least four shooting suspects with 9mm and 45-caliber weapons, and they fired at least 42 shots following a dispute in the lounge. They also say that the shooting appears to be gang-related.

No arrests have been made, and police are currently looking for the gunmen. A gun was found near Bedford Avenue and Eastern Parkway, but it is unclear if it is connected to the shooting. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch called the shooting a “tragic, senseless act of violence.”

Mayor Eric Adams said in a press conference, “Gun violence of this magnitude really scars a city.” Police are asking if anyone has any information about the shooting to come forward.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of the victims.
