A Women’s Work: The Legendary Tina Turner [VIDEO]

The star we all know as Tina Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock was conceived on November 26th 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee! The star-studded singer endured a long lasting career, a troubled marriage, and a major switch in musical genres.
Turner began her career as a singer with ‘Ike Turners Kings of Rhythm’ in the 1950’s. A decade later, the group dwindled down to the Ike and Tina Revue and produced phenomenal hits such as “A Fool in Love, Proud Mary and Nutbush City.”
During this time, Ike and Tina married and continued with a working relationship, nonetheless there was a series of domestic abuse that lead to their split in 1976.
Tina Turner did not let this road block stop her career, instead she turned it around produced more hits including ‘Private Dancer’ and ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It.’ Since then Tina Turner has been named “The Queen of Rock and Roll” and termed the most successful female Rock n Roll artist!
