Rising actor and boxer, Cedric Jones has reportedly passed away at the age of 46.
His death was confirmed by the boxing gym he founded, Beastie Boxing Gym. “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Beastie Boxing Gym founder, Cedric ‘Beastie’ Jones. Cedric was a loving father, devoted husband, caring son, brother, community leader, and incredible friend who inspired others.”
The gym’s website states that Jones was a professional dancer turned boxer, who used a challenging style of mental toughness to overcome challenges and persevere. The site also said that Jones taught his students to forget the word “quit” and told them to remove it from their vocabulary.
Jones dedicated his life to helping others as well as inspired them to achieve what they thought would be impossible.
Cedric Jones played in movies such as Southpaw, The Magnificent Seven, and Emancipation. His cause of death has been revealed, however, we keep Jones’ loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
