Actor André Braugher Dies At Age 61

The legendary actor André Braugher has passed away at age 61. 

Braugher, who is best known for his roles in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Law & Order: SVU, and Homicide: Life on the Street reportedly passed away after a brief illness. 

His death was confirmed by his publicist, Jennifer Allen. The Chicago native graduated from Stanford University, and then attended Juilliard School in the drama division. 

After that, Braugher landed his first role in the movie Glory, starring Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. He played a free Black man named Thomas Searles who joined the first Black regiment.

Throughout his career, he has appeared in multiple television shows and movies. We will keep André Braugher’s family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers. He is survived by his wife and three children.
