Jonathan Majors may be ready to take on a new role in his career.
According to reports, the actor has his sights set on playing Dennis Rodman during the 1998 NBA finals in the upcoming film 48 Hours in Vegas. Sources close to Majors stated that negotiations are in the works and they are headed in the right direction.
The movie will focus on Rodman’s crazy adventure in Las Vegas with his GM during the 1998 NBA Finals. The film will also document the friendship that would evolve between the two men that helped solve their personal problems.
Rodman’s story has been highly talked about in the 90s but the idea surfaced to make it a movie due to the success of Michael Jordan’s documentary The Last Dance. This incident was detailed in the doc with Jordan, his former coach Phil Jackson, and his ex-girlfriend Carmen Electra all speaking about the events that took place.
The script was written by VanDina and picked up by Lionsgate after falling in love with it. Lionsgate or Majors’ rep has not released a comment about this. As of now, Jonathan Majors will be starring in a new film called Devotion where he will play Navy fighter pilot, Jesse Brown. The film is slated to be released this Thanksgiving.
