Anthony Anderson says his love life has entered a new chapter.

The actor and comedian revealed he is dating someone new, two years after his divorce was finalized. Anderson, best known for “black-ish,” made the comment while discussing life after marriage.

“I’m no longer a bachelor,” Anderson said.

The 55-year-old entertainer did not share his girlfriend’s name. He also kept details about the relationship mostly private.

Still, the announcement marked a rare personal update from an actor who often keeps family matters out of the spotlight. Anderson’s comments come after years of public attention surrounding his split from Alvina Stewart.

Anderson and Stewart were married for more than two decades. Their divorce was finalized in 2023, according to published reports.

A New Relationship, A Familiar Family Dynamic

Anderson suggested the relationship has been smooth for the people closest to him.

He said his girlfriend has gotten along well with his mother, Doris. Anderson has long spoken about his close bond with her in interviews and public appearances.

When asked about dating, Anderson offered a careful response.

“It’s going good,” he said.

Anderson did not confirm rumors that recently swirled around his Golden Globes appearance. He attended the event with TV personality Rocsi Diaz, which sparked online speculation.

He did not address Diaz by name in his comments. He also did not say whether he was in a serious or long-term relationship.

Instead, Anderson focused on what has changed since his divorce.

He said he is enjoying being in a healthier place emotionally. Anderson added that he has been focused on growth.

Life After Divorce and Moving Forward

Anderson and Stewart share two children, a son and a daughter. The couple had separated and reconciled before their final split.

In earlier remarks, Anderson suggested his family has adjusted. He also indicated that his girlfriend has been accepted by those close to him.

“Everything is cool,” he said.

Anderson has remained busy professionally in recent years. He has continued acting, producing and hosting. His work often includes comedy rooted in family life.

That public image sometimes made his private change feel more personal to fans.

The actor’s latest admission was brief but clear.

“I’m no longer a bachelor,” he said again.

For now, Anderson appears content keeping his new relationship mostly out of public view. But he also seemed comfortable confirming one simple fact.

He is not alone anymore.
