Barbara Walters took this secret to the grave or so she thought thanks to Joy Behar.
According to reports, Behar stopped by her former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd’s show and revealed that she once confronted the late Barbra Walters for sleeping with the late comedian Richard Pryor.
During their sit-down, Shepherd recalled the time when another comedian, the late Paul Mooney, claimed that he caught Walters and Pryor together. The talk show host then told Behar about it who then approached Walters.
“The thing about it is… I would tell you stuff, and then you would go and tell it!” Sherri said to Joy. “I never told this before, publicly, I’ma tell it. I told Joy that I had run into Paul Mooney, and Paul Mooney had said that he caught Barbara Walters with Richard Pryor!”
Behar jokingly asked, “What do you mean? She slept with Richard Pryor?” Sherri went on to say, “Yes! That’s what Paul Mooney said. And I came back, I came back and I was like, ‘Joy! Guess What?’ When you talk like that you know it’s don’t tell nobody!”
She continued, “I said, ‘Paul Mooney said he caught Barbara with Richard Pryor; he walked in on them! And I was like, ‘Don’t tell nobody!”
Sherri then said that Joy asked Walters if she really slept with Richard Pryor. However, Walters did not confirm or deny the rumors. Behar admitted that Walters was known for liking Black men. “Between you and me, Barbara liked a ‘brother.’ She was going out with a Black senator!
