Last week, Beyonce surprised her fans with a surprise with the release of her Netflix documentary and a live album, both named “Homecoming”. In the ending credits of the documentary, Queen Bey recorded Frankie Beverly and Maze’s R&B 1981 classic ‘Before I Let Go’.
According to Rolling Out, Beverly stated that he was blown away by the remake and called it a blessing. Beverly said that he didn’t even know about the song until he received a phone call from her people. “She kept it quiet until her people called me one day maybe a week or two ago. When they played it, that’s when I heard the first draft of it, and I was blown away. It’s a blessing.”
