In the early 90s, Big Daddy Kane was considered one of the best rappers in the game. That status made him a candidate to pose nude in Madonna’s book.
Speaking on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Kane recalled being asked by Madonna to appear in her book titled Sex.
Kane recalled being on a label promotional tour to “upscale” hospitals with Madonna and Color Me Badd. Then, Madonna told the children about his song “Ain’t No Half-Steppin.”
After thanking Madonna for the gesture, she asked him to pose nude in her coffee table book. Kane said he was “honored” to be asked to be a model.
“I was like, ‘Sh*t even better. Let’s do it,” Kane told Sharpe.
“But let me tell you how real Madonna was, man. I mean, the day started off so much fun, where I’m like, ‘OK, yeah, this the place to be. This is cool,” he continued. “When I got to the set, Madonna came running across the room, butt-ass naked. ‘Kane, so glad you made it.’”
“Let me tell you, I was just standing outside in the middle of the street in between the divider just like this, no clothes on, with my thumb out taking photos, but not one single car stopped,” he recalled. “Can you believe that? F**king Madonna, nobody stopped for me.”
“I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, this going to be one an amazing day,’ right? I’m like, ‘This
day going to be amazing ’cause she on 10 already.’ I’m like, ‘Yo, yeah, she
wilding already.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, this going to be fun.’”
When asked if any rapper today would pose for an erotic book or Playgirl, Kane had an interesting response.
“I think that there’s rappers today that’s coming from doing that to become a rapper,” Kane said.
