After nearly ten years of being one of music’s most visible creative couples, Big Sean and Jhené Aiko are reportedly ending their relationship. Although neither artist has publicly confirmed the split, multiple sources say the decision followed unresolved issues about long-term commitment.

Commitment Disagreement Cited as Key Factor

According to insiders, Aiko walked away after waiting years for what she believed was the next step. “She wanted marriage — she wanted the commitment,” one source told entertainment outlet AllHipHop. “Sean loves her deeply, but he just never wanted to take that final step.”

The same insider added that “eventually, she realized that ring wasn’t coming. She decided it was time to move on.”

Despite the apparent end of the romantic partnership, the two are reportedly committed to maintaining a peaceful co-parenting arrangement. “They’re in a great place — it’s peaceful. They both respect each other too much to let things get messy. They just want to do what’s best for their child,” a source said.

Their relationship dates back to the early 2010s, when the two artists’ creative paths began to converge. They famously teamed up as the duo TWENTY88 and released a joint project in 2016. In November 2022 they welcomed their son, Noah Hasani.

Rumours of the break-up surfaced in early November 2025, with reports pointing to the marriage issue as a tipping point. Fans also noticed the change in social media tone and interpreted Aiko’s shared music posts as possible hints toward an ending.

While their romantic relationship appears to have come to a close, sources emphasize the mutual respect remains. The two intend to focus on their parenting roles and individual careers moving forward. The reported split may mark the end of one chapter, but for both artists it opens another.
“It’s not about bitterness,” a source noted. “It’s about respect, family, and being honest with what both of them want.”

For now, neither Big Sean nor Jhené Aiko has issued a public statement verifying the break-up. Their teams have declined comment. Fans of their collaborative work and joint journey will likely be watching what they both do next — musically, personally and as parents.
