Black Girls Rock! aired Sunday evening (August 9, 2019) an award ceremony honoring women of color for their achievements in entrepreneurship, entertainment, music and more.

Hosted by Claws Niecy Nash, the honorees included and Emmy-winning actress/director Regina King (Star Power Award), two-time Grammy Award-winning musician and activists the Mothers of the Movement Maria Hamilton, Sybrina Fulton, Lucy McBath,  Geneva Reed-Veal, Gwen Carr, and Cleopatra Pendleton-Cowley Academy Award and Emmy Award-nominated producer Debra Martin Chase (Shot Caller Award),  Golden Globe winner and Oscar-nominated actress, director, and producer Angela Bassett (Icon Award), H.E.R. (Young Gifted and Black Award),  and Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Ciara (Rock Star Award).

Monica hit the stage along with a star-studded list of performers including Elle Varner, Common, India Arie, Erykah Badu and more!
