Born in Chicago Illinois, Chaka Khan’s vocal range has served her well, resulting in 22 albums, and 10 No.1 Billboard magazine charted records.
Chaka’s fan base continues to grow as each generation latches on to classics such as “I’m Every Woman” written by Ashford and Simpson. Popular artists such as Mariah Carey and Kanye West have sampled hit Chaka songs such as “This Is My Night” and “Through the Fire.”
Not only did other artists reinvent Chaka’s music, her songs rendered into great movies: ‘Set it Off,’ and ‘Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion.’
