Many reports have stated that multiple people were shot this morning around 8:30 am in Sunset Park at the 36th street station.
According to ABC News, the suspect still remains at large but it was been reported that he was wearing an orange construction vest and a gas mask. A manhunt is currently underway in search of the suspect.
The suspect used smoke bombs when the train doors closed and then started shooting. Graphic videos of the incident have been circulating on social media which display victims bleeding from their legs and lower halves of their bodies.
Multiple undetonated devices were found by police at the scene and the victims were taken to different hospitals. About 8 eight people are in stable condition, 5 people have been shot, with 3 in stable condition and the other 2 people’s conditions are much worst.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 5’5, and 175 to 180 pounds. Schools in the area are currently on lockdown as the search continues.

There is no D/N/R service in Brooklyn and some stations in Manhattan.
Expect major delays on B/D/F N/Q/R trains.
Take alternate subway or bus lines.
