Derek Chauvin Murder Trial: Jury Reached Verdict in George Floyd’s Death- GUILTY

After four hours of deliberation, the jury has reached a verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd. Derek Chauvin is found guilty on all charges.

According to reports, this is one of the most-watched cases, “setting off a national reckoning on police violence and systemic racism.”

George Floyd died at the age of 46 after Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds while he was face down on the ground.

Chauvin was charged with 3 counts: second-degree murder — unintentional; third-degree murder; and second-degree manslaughter.
