The family of the late Breonna Taylor has reached a wrongful death settlement with the City of Louisville. The family’s lawyer says this is a step in the right direction. The family will reportedly receive $12 million.
According to reports, the family’s attorney says “The city’s response in this case has been delayed and it’s been frustrating, but the fact that they’ve been willing to sit down and talk significant reform was a step in the right direction and hopefully a turning point”
The family sued the City of Louisville after police fatally shot 26-year-old Breonna during a no-knock warrant executed at her apartment, 6 months ago on March 13.
