Brian McKnight will sing the National Anthem at this year’s MLS All-Star Game.
The performance will happen on July 19th in Washington D.C. at Audi Field before the soccer game begins. “It’s always an honor to be asked to perform the National Anthem for our country,” McKnight said.
He continued, “It’s especially an honor to be able to sing it in our Nation’s Capital. I’m looking forward to kicking off this highly anticipated match-up between MLS and Arsenal FC.” Throughout his 25 years in the music industry, the award-winning singer has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and has 16 Grammy Award nominations.
Aside from this amazing honor for Brian McKnight, we recently reported on the issues he was experiencing with his older children and the reactions that he was getting on social media because of it. However, things seemed to have settled down for him and his family.
The pregame festivities will be available to be watched in over 100 countries on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Congratulations to Brian McKnight.
